Brenda Natarajan

Brenda is an experienced corporate attorney whose practice is concentrated in middle-market mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and corporate governance. She advises private equity buyers and sellers, closely held companies, and entrepreneurs throughout the full lifecycle of M&A transactions. Since 2020, Brenda has closed dozens of transactions across a wide range of industries, including cloud services, technology, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, hospitality, and franchise businesses. She represents private equity clients in platform acquisitions and multi-add-on acquisition programs, as well as closely held companies in sell-side transactions involving both public company and private equity buyers.

Brenda also serves as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized companies across a variety of industries. She advises clients amongst a broad array of legal issues and handles transactions covering software licensing and SaaS deals, technology development and distribution, and many other types of commercial transactions. She also advises clients on corporate formation, governance matters, and capitalization tables.

Prior to joining ZLG, Brenda was an associate at Leech Tishman Robinson Brog (formerly Robinson Brog Leinwand Greene Genovese & Gluck P.C.) in New York, where she represented closely held companies, private equity firms, and family offices in M&A and financing transactions. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she was an attorney at DLA Piper LLP, where she focused on private equity M&A.

Brenda earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her B.B.A., summa cum laude, from Pace University. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, and New Jersey, is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) licensed in New York, and currently resides in California.
